We start by identifying the cause of the blockage. The most common causes are hair, soap, and dirt that get trapped in the drainpipe, causing water to back up. Once we have identified the problem, we use our specialized equipment to remove the blockage quickly and effectively.

We use a plunger to dislodge any blockage that sits close to the surface. Well need to fill the bathtub with enough water to cover the rubber cap of the plunger before we start to work. Well then put the plunger over the bathtub drain, push down and pull up the plunger vigorously a few times. The water should start draining after about ten plunges.

If the blockage is deeper in the drain, we use a drain snake, which is a flexible metal wire that we feed into the drain. The wire has a corkscrew at the end that breaks down the blockage. We move the wire back and forth to shred the blockage so that it can travel further down the pipe. This can be a messy job, but we will always clean up any mess we make before we leave.
