Using a Drain Snake

For more stubborn blockages, we may use a drain snake. This is a long, flexible cable that can be inserted into the drain and used to break up the blockage.

Removing the Stopper

If the blockage is located near the stopper, we may need to remove it in order to access the blockage. This involves unscrewing the stopper to gain access to the drain.

Using Hydro Jetting

For severe blockages or blockages located deeper in the drain, we may use hydro jetting. This involves using high-pressure water to break up the blockage and flush it out of the drain.

What You Can Do to Prevent Blockages

While we're always happy to help with a blocked bath, we also want to help you prevent future blockages from occurring. Here are some tips to keep your drain running smoothly:

• Periodically remove and clean the stopper
• Use a drain strainer to catch hair and other debris
• Avoid pouring grease or oil down the drain
• Run hot water through the drain after each use to help dissolve any soap scum or mineral deposits
